1.Reflecting upon your classroom or the early childhood environment you have chosen to use as your placement as well as the Inventory of Practice Assignment, choose 2 of the following to design and create:
– picture schedule
– center necklaces/bracelets
– re-design of circle time area or another center area
– choice board
-1st/then chart
– set of cue cards
– any strategy within the assigned reading
2. Create the 2 items
3. Take a digital picture of the two things you have created. Items should be ready to implement with children. Simply cutting and pasting clip are into a word document and submitting will NOT meet assignment criteria. Clip art pictures can be used, but something else must be done with those graphics. Last weeks presentation (Module 3) contained pictures of examples of such items. In addition, this weeks reading provided photos of examples. You are encouraged to review those pictures again prior to completing the assignment. The TTYC resource also has a tremendous amount of resources you can use for this project. If you choose to re-design an area of the classroom, you must submit before and after photos.
4. For each strategy that you choose, provide a detailed explanation of WHY and HOW you will be implementing each strategy you have chosen. Detailed explanations will be a minimum of a paragraph for each. In other words, a paragraph explaining WHY you are implementing the strategy and a paragraph explaining HOW you will be implementing the strategy.
5. Inonedocument, submit the assignment. I suggest using Microsoft word and inserting your photos into that document. Under each photo inserted, provide your explanation of WHY and HOW.
*Please Note: These should be items you create for this course. These should not be existing items you already have in your classroom.
