ABOUT THE GRADUATE FEEDER FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM
History
The Graduate Feeder Scholars Program was founded in 1987 by our former visionary president, Dr. Frederick S. Humphries. Since 1987, the Graduate Feeder Scholars Program has been a direct pipeline for high-achieving sophomores, juniors, seniors and graduate students enrolled at FAMU in any academic discipline to attend nationally renowned universities to pursue graduate-level degrees at no cost to the student determined by their selected school.
Our Goals
The goal of the Graduate Feeder program is to help Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University students with the documents they need to successfully apply to graduate-level programs around the nation. Through workshops and submitting writing assignments via Canvas, students will strengthen their:
Statements of purpose
Resumes Graduate writing samples
The Graduate Feeder Scholars Program also provides test preparation and professional development opportunities, ensuring that our students will meet the expectations of our partner institutions.
The Graduate Feeder Scholars program was designed for programs we do not have at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University.
Benefits of being a Graduate Feeder Scholar
Once students become Graduate Feeder Scholars, they are eligible to receive:
Up to three fee waivers to partnering universities
Funding for their entire graduate-level program (master’s and PhD only)
The opportunity for visiting partner campuses
*Funding for students will be determined by their selected school*
