The purpose of this paper assignment is for you to reflect on the knowledge about adolescence and emerging adulthood that you have gained from this class by making connections with your own life and/or other concepts of human development that you have learned in this class or others. Sometimes you will be applying what you’ve learned to other contexts. Think of the paper as your opportunity to demonstrate what you have learned, and possibly even have fun being creative while doing so. We’ve covered identity, including intersectionality and disabled identities, during Weeks 5-6.  Choose one of the following 8 topics to write a paper on.
Tips for Writing Unit Papers
For the topic that you choose, be sure to answer ALL questions under that topic (although you may answer them in a different order if you prefer).
Your paper should be logically organized, but does not need to adhere to a specific format you may have been taught, such as 5-paragraph essay, compare/contrast essay, etc.
Your paper should be about 2 pages double-spaced (approximately 400-500 words).  It is OK with me if you want to turn in something longer.  (You also have the freedom to turn in something shorter, but if it is substantially shorter, it is probably not possible to do an excellent job of addressing the topic thoughtfully).
When referring to information learned in this class, please cite the reading or video (author/source and date in parentheses).  It is not necessary to do outside reading for this assignment; however, if you refer to anything that is not required reading from class (whether it is a website or something in print), include that reference information in a bibliography.

What are some common themes from these autobiographical writings, or video, about intimate (dating, romantic, sexual) relationships for people with disabilities?
What are some differences between the personal experiences shared?
What have you learned from what these individuals have shared?
How could family members, teachers, counselors, and other adults be helped to better support disabled adolescents with regard to forming intimate relationships?
