After completing the readings, consider the following:
Mission statements should answer specific questions. The textbook provides an overview of what should be included in a mission statement for an organization. The following is an example of a mission statement. Using the sample mission statement below, answer the questions provided or explain how the statement does not provide an answer to the question.
Mission Statement: To evaluate and monitor technical factors associated with patient radiation exposure, ensuring that the radiology department provides physicians and families with the highest quality image at the lowest possible dose.
Answer the following questions regarding the provided Mission Statement:
What process is to be improved?
For whom is the process performed?
What products does the process produce?
What is not working with the current process?
How well must the process function?
Locate at least two additional evidence-based peer-reviewed journal articles published in the past five years that discuss either the process an organization went through to develop a Mission Statement or the process an organization went through to evaluate a Mission Statement using the questions outlined in the readings.
*Initial post should be a minimum of 500 words. Response to a peer should be a minimum of 250 words.
