To explain the scope of the problem, you could talk briefly about the paving over of wetlands to facilitate urban development (causing runoff and pollution), the overuse of industrial fertilizers, and the loss of lake species and biodiversity due to eutrophication. One solution offered may be to shift
industrial agricultural practices in the area to more sustainable approaches.
