(A) Describe services that your district currently contracts for, or has previously contracted from, your local CESA. Have these services met the needs of your district? As a director, one has to be prepared to meet the needs of any student. For example, working proactively with your local CESA can be very beneficial when needing to serve a child with a hearing impairment that moves into your district and requires an interpreter.
If you haven’t contracted with a CESA, have you contracted with a different outside agency, such as a mental health counseling center or youth day treatment center?
(B) If your CESA folks asked you to identify need areas that it might be able to help you with — what would those areas be? Some examples might be mental health providers, new staff mentoring, trauma sensitive schools professional development, and conducting functional behavioral assessment. I am in CESA . I work for Milwaukee Public Schools.
A. We partner with Ascension Medical for Healthy Smiles. This is a dental program. They come out twice a year and provide the basic exam for students whom parents has signed the permission slip. I feel that it has worked due to some not having access to a dentist. https://eans.cesa6.org/services/
