The paper should reflect on this week’s films noting major themes and topics. It should also reference and cite a reading from the course.
The paper is worth 50 points: 30 points for reflecting on the major points of the films [reflect on the films you do not have to provide a full summary, but note what stood out to you in both films],  10 points for citing a reading from the course and explaining its connection to the film(s) [cite the reading], 5 points for organization (have an introduction, body with analysis, and conclusion), and 5 points for formatting (MLA or APA, the films and reading should be cited on a References/Works Cited page).  I do not take off points for spelling or grammar, but it is important to organize your paper in a way that is clear to the reader. You do not need to summarize the entire film(s), but choose key moments to include in your analysis.
Choose major themes you want to highlight. (30 points)
Reflection should discuss in detail scenes from the film (at least 2 scenes from each)
Describe how these scenes connect to larger themes throughout the film
You must cite at least one of the readings from the course and explain how it connects to the film(s) (10 points)
Think of the concepts from the reading and larger themes to conceptualize how they relate to the films
Be sure to reread and edit your paper.
Please note these films contains depictions of violence.  Viewing and discussing these materials can be demanding and challenging in ways that are often unexpected. As noted in the syllabus If there is an assignment that touches on a topic that would cause undue harm or concern, reach out to me to discuss possible solutions.
